Churches & Congregations
From the offering bowl to the church-wide report.
Congregations, families, cells and ministries; services with attendance, loose collections and envelopes; tithes and offerings by Mobile Money, USSD and envelope; pledges and giving statements.
The problem
What gets in the way today
Counting sheets and envelopes
After each service, attendance, loose offerings and envelopes are added up by hand and copied into a ledger.
Members cannot see their giving
Giving statements for the year take weeks to prepare, and pledges are tracked in notebooks.
Head office waits for every branch
Each congregation reports in its own format, so church-wide totals arrive late.

Illustrative workflow
How it can work
-
1
Service
The usher or steward records attendance after the service.
-
2
Collections
Loose offerings and envelopes are entered against the service and the envelope numbers.
-
3
Giving
Members also give by Mobile Money or USSD during the week; each gets an SMS receipt.
-
4
Report
The treasurer prints the service report; head office sees congregation totals.
An example only: your steps follow your own rules and the modules switched on.
Questions
Churches: common questions
Can the church keep its accounts here?
Yes, with the optional Accounts module: tithes, offerings and closed services' loose collections go into the books automatically, expenses are approved by other people, funds such as the building fund keep their own balance, and the reports are ready for the church council.
Can each congregation see only its own records?
Yes. A team member can be limited to one congregation; head office sees the totals of all of them side by side.
Do envelopes still work?
Yes. Envelope numbers are kept on each member, and envelope giving is recorded as a cash payment against the service.
Where does Mobile Money giving go?
Into your church’s own Hubtel merchant account. EBITS never holds the money.
Can members get a giving statement?
Yes. Your team produces giving statements for a member or for everyone, to print or save as PDF.
